Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky celebrated their twin sons’ 9th birthday in style, with a family photo shared to Instagram on Sunday showing one of the birthday boys being playfully pushed into a chocolate cake.
The Thor star, 39, posted the picture of the family’s fun-loving celebrations which showed his wife Elsa Pataky, 46, pushing one of their sons face-first into a cake. “Happy 9th birthday to my two little men!” Hemsworth wrote in the caption. “Only one way to eat cake in this house and that’s to have mum slam your head into it face first!!”
The family photo also showed Hemsworth’s daughter India Rose, 10, helping her mom with the honors. Fans commented on the post, noting Hemsworth’s look of approval on the family’s shenanigans.
Hemsworth often uses Instagram to share photos of his family’s candid moments, many of which show his kids snowboarding, biking, and surfing. On February 14, Hemsworth wrote about his Centr fitness platform which has helped “over 6000 kids access sports that THEY love.” He wrote how important sport has been in his life and spoke of the memories he has made with his family.
Last year, when the twins turned 8, Hemsworth shared an adorable throwback shot to Instagram of his twin boys dressed as his Marvel character Thor. This year, Hemsworth shared a photo of him holding one of his sons’ hands-on set of a Thor film, with his son revealing he wanted to be Superman when he grows up.
