Actor Jeremy Renner recently gave his fans an inside look into how he is recovering from his New Year’s Day snowplow accident. The incident took place in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada and Renner was taken to the hospital afterward in critical but stable condition.
Renner posted a video to his Instagram Stories that showed him doing an electric stimulation workout and working on muscle strength. In the caption, Renner wrote, “Electric stimulation workout, and muscle strength.” He has been open about his journey toward recovery since the accident and has shared his progress with his followers on social media.
Renner also posted a photo to his Instagram of himself receiving physical therapy in a bed. In the caption, he thanked his followers for their support and wrote, “These 30-plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all.”

Renner’s friends and costars have also been supportive of his recovery journey. Chris Evans jokingly asked if anyone had “even checked the snowplow” in response to Renner’s accident. Evangeline Lilly, who starred in The Hurt Locker with Renner, talked about visiting him and seeing him in a wheelchair. Lilly said that Renner was “incredibly brave and strong” and that he had recovered “like a mo-fo.”
Renner posted another more recent post on Instagram plugging his new Disney Plus show and spoke of his recovery saying, “Behind the scenes on #rennervations coming soon on @disneyplus around the world!
