Paris Hilton is starting 2023 off with a brand new title – mom! The Simple Life Reality TV Star, 41, recently welcomed her first baby with her husband Carter Reum into the world through a surrogate.

The businesswoman and media personality shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a close-up photo of the baby gripping her thumb and writing, “You are already loved beyond words”. Hilton has previously discussed her and Reum’s plans to become a parent together after tying the knot late last year.

During an interview with PEOPLE in December, the Love Rush fragrance founder discussed the couple’s plan to have a baby through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Hilton said that they started the process during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, ‘This is perfect timing. Usually, I’m on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let’s just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,’ and we have tons of them just waiting,” Hilton said.

The couple got engaged in February 2021 after more than a year of dating. Reum — a Chicago native, a longtime friend of the Hilton family, author, entrepreneur, and founder of venture capital firm M13 — also shared his excitement about finding his perfect match and future wife.

“I have gotten the unique opportunity to get to know the real Paris on a daily basis, just the two of us during these past 15 months, and I couldn’t be more excited and lucky to have her as my future wife and partner,” Reum said.

Hilton discussed the couple’s plans for expanding their family during an April episode of Nikki and Brie Bella’s The Bellas Podcast. She said that they have talked about having kids since the first few months of dating and that they would like to have three or four children in total.
