Aaron Rodgers Seeks Out ‘Wacky’ Retreat Ahead Of Huge Decision

Aaron Rodgers, the future Hall of Fame quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, has announced that he will enter a “darkness retreat” before making any decisions on his future. This retreat will involve four nights of complete darkness as he attempts to contemplate what’s next for him.

The 39-year-old QB has already spent 16 seasons in the NFL and has won MVP awards, multiple Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl. He is currently under contract with the Packers but has expressed interest in playing elsewhere if the situation is right.

Rodgers revealed that the retreat would take place in an unnamed location, with him staying in a single-room “little house.” The windows will be blacked-out, with two slots where food will be served and no other human contact. He will be completely alone, with no books, tablets, or fidget spinners to keep him occupied.

“I’ve got a pretty cool opportunity to do a little self-reflection in some isolation,” Rodgers said. “And then after that, I feel like I’ll be a lot closer to a final, final decision.”

However, many are mocking Rodgers and creating memes about his “isolation retreat.”

Another Tweet jokingly posted:

However, he took the higher road and posted on his Twitter page saying, “We are all on our own path, and doing things like this helps me find a greater sense of peace and love for life,” Rodgers said. “Love and respect to you ❤️”
