It’s been 12 years since Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore announced their split in 2011, but Kutcher has only recently opened up about how he felt when Moore’s memoir, “Inside Out,” was released in 2019. In a recent interview with Esquire, Kutcher admitted that he was “f–king pissed” when the book arrived in bookstores.
In the memoir, Moore reflected on the two threesomes she and the actor had during their time together and also accused him of influencing her relapse. Kutcher didn’t comment on the allegations at the time, but in his interview with Esquire, he revealed that the book’s release had a significant impact on his family. He explained that he had finally gotten to a place where the press had left him and his wife, Mila Kunis, alone, but the next day, paparazzi were at his kids’ school.
Kutcher and Moore were married from 2005 to 2013, and although Kutcher doesn’t have any “hard feelings” for Moore, the divorce was still a difficult experience. He explained that “nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce” and he was “bearing the responsibility of an 8-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 12-year-old,” referring to Moore’s three children from her marriage to Bruce Willis. Kutcher and Moore had also tried to have children of their own before their split, but Moore suffered a miscarriage at six months pregnant.
Kutcher began dating Kunis in 2013, and the two are now married with two children of their own. Kutcher gushed about his wife in the interview, noting that “the thing about Mila that made our relationship accelerate was that I had always admired her. Her talent, her skills, her gifts.” He also said that they already knew each other’s dirt, which helped solidify their relationship.
Kutcher is now focused on raising his two children with Kunis, and wants to ensure that they grow up to be “good decision-makers.”
