Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Fulfill This Timeless Tradition With Their Blended Family

Newlyweds Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck joined in a traditional pastime along with their children as they shopped for Christmas trees this past Sunday.

Lopez, 53, brought along her twins with Marc Anthony — Max and Emme, 14,  and Affleck, 50, brought his three children that he shares with Jennifer Garner — Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13; and Samuel, 10. The blended family was on a mission in Los Angeles for the perfect Christmas tree.

Affleck’s oldest, Violet, who also recently traveled to Washington D.C., where she attended the White House State Dinner on Thursday, was also participating in the search.

The family settled on a Balsam tree that the kids all seemed to agree on. The tree was then loaded on top of a white Cadillac SUV in Santa Monica on Saturday, Dec. 3. This is the first Christmas that Ben and Jennifer will share as a married couple.  This comes as just four months ago they eloped in Vegas followed by a more formal wedding and celebration in their home near Savannah, Georgia in August.

Jennifer also recently announced her new album that is dedicated to Ben called This Is Me…Now. The album is a follow-up to her This Is Me…Then project, which was originally released in 2002. The new version includes songs titled “Dear Ben,” “I’m Glad,” and two versions of “The One” as well as “Baby I Love U!” which are all inspired by their relationship.

Lopez said in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “Twenty years ago I fell in love with the love of my life. I was working on an album and it was called This Is Me…Then.” It was all about capturing that moment in time. Now the most amazing, incredible, unbelievable thing has happened. The reason we’re here is because I want to capture this moment in time because it is even better than the first time.”
