Almost like a scene from ‘Ghostbusters’, these holiday decorations really got the ball rolling with an early show that shocked many.
A larger-than-life Christmas scene was transformed into a dangerous game of dodgeball when winds over 70 mph dislodged giant Christmas balls, sending them rolling down a London street.
A video posted to TikTok shows the extremely large silver Christmas balls rolling and bouncing down Tottenham Court Road early Monday morning as much smaller cars try to avoid the enormous and possibly deadly spheres.
In the video, you can see the first ball roll down the street and slam into a post, sending it airborne while simultaneously shedding its shiny silver coating in an explosion.
A second silver ball follows down the street behind the first one narrowly missing a passing car in a scene that could depict a giant-sized pinball machine.
A video from another angle shows the two Christmas balls rolling into one another.
The wild movie-like encounter came as the Met Office issued a strong wind advisory across parts of the United Kingdom. The country was hit by Storm Claudio with winds ranging to 70 miles per hour overnight.
Locals commented, “On this train at 11:27 pm and I’m trying not to completely lose it over these Christmas decorations rolling down the street in London.”

English comedian, actor, singer, and television host, James Corden even joined in saying, “Look at that. It looks like Gods playing pinball with Britain.”

Another commenter on TikTok said, “Attack of the giant Christmas baubles,” then in the video, she captioned, “My anxiety is easily 100, as I suffer from Megalophobia.”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, “Megalophobia is a type of anxiety disorder in which a person experiences intense fear of large objects. A person with megalophobia experiences intense fear and anxiety when they think of or are around large objects such as large buildings, statues, animals, and vehicles.”
