Man Comes Back From The Brink Of Death And Awakes From Coma With Special Abilities

A man awoke from a coma and discovered he had new artistic abilities that he never had before. Now he’s a professional carpenter and model builder.

Moe Hunter suffered from a rare form of bacterial meningitis and tuberculosis in his brain that left him fighting for his life in 2004.

After spending over a month in a coma, doctors performed a lifesaving surgery when they placed a shunt in his brain to drain fluid.

Prior to his diagnosis, Moe had no interest in crafting or any artistic ability.

When he woke up from brain surgery and recovered more quickly than expected, he noted, “My doctor said that I was a walking miracle.”

Not only had he recovered quickly, but the 38-year-old shockingly realized his talent for drawing, painting, and model building.

Hunter said, “I really wasn’t creative before in the slightest. I was more interested in going outside, football, and computer games. I look at all of my stuff now, and I’m, like, ‘never in a trillion years could I do this stuff’. I have no idea how it happened.”

He continued saying, “When I spoke to the neurologist, he just said ‘enjoy it’, and said there’s so much about the brain they still can’t decipher, and this is just a phenomenon.”

“Nobody has really given a medical explanation for it. I just know comas can do crazy things to a human brain. They said there’s many stories and theories over the years about people having awakened from comas with skills… even speaking other languages,” he said.

One of the first things he drew after waking from the coma was a sketch of a character in a video game, Legend of Zelda. His mother seeing the impressive drawing, immediately asked, “when did you learn how to draw?”

Hunter exclaimed, “It was crazy, I haven’t stopped since then. I just found I had this passion which never existed in me before.”

Hunter now uses his new skills as a self-employed carpenter and builds intricate model replicas of his favorite superheroes and film icons.

He has even sold pieces of his artwork and has displayed his creations at Comic-Con events across the UK.
