Sylvester Stallone Gives Emotional Update About His Friend Bruce Willis

‘Rocky’ actor Sylvester Stallone is sharing a heartbreaking update about the health of his friend and fellow actor Bruce Willis.

Stallone was asked if he had been in touch with Willis since his family announced that he was retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia. Aphasia is a cognitive disorder that affects a person’s ability to speak.

“Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times,” Stallone told The Hollywood Reporter. “So he’s been sort of incommunicado.”

He continued by saying, “That kills me. It’s so sad.”

Stallone and Willis have been friends for years as well as business partners. In fact, they along with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Willis’s first wife Demi Moore — helped fund the Planet Hollywood franchise.

They also co-starred together in Stallone’s The Expendables franchise, which earned big bucks at the box office.

When Willis’ family shared the news about his health earlier this year, Stallone was one of the first Hollywood stars to react publicly. Stallone posted on social media a series of old photos of them together, and said, “We go back a long way, praying for the best for you and your wonderful family…”

Since Willis retired, he has stayed behind the scenes with a few posts coming from his wife, Emma Heming, and his family. One of the most recent clips was a video set to Maren Morris’s “The Bones,” which showed sweet memories from their summer. In it, you can see Willis dancing with his two youngest daughters. He also gave one a piggyback, played frisbee, and kissed his wife, among other touching moments.

She captioned the post with, “We don’t believe in perfection over here but #oursummer2022 was pretty close to it. In fact, it was magic.”
