Many have sat in or have seen the comfortable-looking massage chairs placed in Malls or other shopping areas. Some have been called to the comfort of resting their weary legs after a long shopping day.
However, for one woman the ‘comforting’ massage turned into a nightmare as emergency services were called to rescue her after she became stuck in the chair.
The Naples Fire-Rescue Department posted a video to its social media account that shows crews working to rescue the woman as she howls in pain.
Firefighters cut the power to the machine and began to take it apart, officials said. Crews used a grinder to take apart the steel rods that hold the rollers of the massage chair in place.
“Oh, my God, Oh, my God,” the woman can be heard yelling.
“We got it,” a firefighter said as they pulled her foot from the machine. “It was cramped in that spot.”
The department said the woman was “evaluated for injuries and released from the scene.”
Social media users sympathized with the woman, with one writing: “What a horrible way to get stuck!”
Another commented: “Who knew massage chairs could be so dangerous.”
Another comment said, “She will now need an investment advisor, and can pick from dozens of Lawyers to handle the Lawsuit.”
Funny enough- there are many odd places where people have been stuck. One such story happened when a teenager laid down in the back seat of her mother’s vehicle. Upon arriving at their destination, the girl sat up and unbuckled at which point the seat belt locked tightly around the stomach of the girl.
After trying everything they could to free the girl from the extremely tight seatbelt, the fire police were called in to rescue the girl.
One firefighter can be heard saying, “That’s weird. I’ve never seen that.”
