Doctors Force Reba McEntire To Postpone Tour

Reba McEntire has canceled some of her upcoming shows due to the fact that she had to go on”vocal rest.”  At this time, it’s unknown if the country star is still performing at the CMA Awards on Nov. 9

McEntire revealed that she has canceled a host of shows scheduled for the weekend due to vocal issues.

The country music star sensation gave an update from her doctor while also showing gratitude toward her fans for understanding the sudden change in her tour dates.

“An update about this weekend’s shows,” she wrote. “My doctor has advised me to go on vocal rest, so I have made the difficult decision to reschedule this weekend’s shows.”

McEntire added, “All tickets will be honored for the new dates” in December. She ended her post with, “Thank you for understanding!”

Shows in Columbus, Ohio, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Indianapolis were postponed until December.

Even though she is currently taking some time to rest, earlier this month, she announced she was extending her tour and adding more dates to her 2023 calendar.

McEntire is one of many musicians scheduled to perform at the CMA’s, including Katy Perry, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood.

McEntire has earned a multitude of awards across her career, including 16 Academy of Country Music Awards, three Grammy Awards, and eight CMA Awards.

Not only has she nabbed a slew of awards, but she has also had 59 top-10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with 24 of them charting at No. 1.

Fans are showing support and love towards Reba with one fan saying, “We love you so much, rest & take care of yourself… ur health comes first girl [heart emoji] u know ur Tweebas love you and will still be here when u feel better! Praying over you for a fast speedy smooth recovery. God Bless you, we love you.”
