Many have pulled out their trees and adorned them with various beautiful decorations. However, one decoration was not placed with care when a mother of two made a terrifying discovery as she peered through the branches of her Christmas tree.
A woman named Gina posted the video of her discovery on TikTok, which went viral and now has over 2.7 million views and over 4 thousand comments.
In the video, which Gina captioned with a single cry for “Help!!!!!” the mother shared the exact moment she made the shocking discovery. You can see Gina as she carefully uses the end of a broomstick to pull back the branches of her tree only to reveal 2 beady, black eyes peering back at her.
You can see the equally scared creature remaining statuesque within the tree as Michael Buble’s “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” plays over the video.
Thousands of people posted in the comments section exclaiming their various reactions.
“One of my biggest fears,” one person said.
“I would have destroyed the whole tree in a panic ????????,” another commented.

However, not everyone was alarmed. Many gushed over how cute the unexpected holiday guest was.

Gina posted a follow-up video where she let everyone know her surprise guest was in fact a mouse. You can also see her cats chasing it before she safely escorted it outside.
