It looks like T.J. Holmes may be in some hot water…again.
Recently, news has surfaced alleging that T.J. Holmes, who co-hosted the television show “GMA3”, engaged in a months-long affair with a much younger subordinate while on the job.
According to an anonymous source close to the situation, Jasmin Pettaway was only 24 years old when this inappropriate relationship took place; even more disturbing is the fact that Holmes was married to his now estranged wife Marilee Fiebig at the time of these alleged events.
The source claimed to DailyMail.com that Holmes abused his position of trust as a mentor to Pettaway, a script coordinator and that on one occasion, he had sex with her in his office “a couple of hours” before he was set to go on the air.
The insider claimed, “They had sex, and I know she was confused afterwards as to what it meant.”
The anonymous source stated their belief that Holmes “was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless” – making this situation all the more concerning and morally questionable.
“It was Jasmin’s first real job in television, and it was a big deal for her,” continued the source. “She was looking for a mentor, and she reached out to several people. T.J. was someone who was responsive, but he absolutely abused the position of trust.”
The source also said, “he just didn’t seem to care,” claiming that Holmes was “wearing his [wedding] ring” at the time.
He was also reported to have had romances with at least two other employees, including married producer Natasha Singh.
Now, an ABC source has told Page Six exclusively that there is an internal investigation underway into the alleged affair. If the allegations are true, then Holmes could find himself in a very precarious position, as such behavior could be grounds for dismissal.
Speaking of the alleged affair, a source told Page Six, “She was only at ABC News for a short period of time, but if they did have an affair when he was her superior, this would be a huge problem for T.J.”
