Taylor Swift’s dad Scott has always been her biggest fan, and she recently showed her appreciation for him by creating a special backstage pass for him ahead of the opening night of her upcoming Eras Tour.
The blue card read “D.O.H. Pass” in gold lettering at the top, with “(Dad of Headliner)” written below it in Swift’s handwriting. The pass also included the words “All Access”. Swift shared a photo of the pass on her Instagram Story, captioning it “Made my Dad’s tour credential. We are a small family business.”
The Grammy Award-winning singer also shared several other photos of the preparations being made before her Eras Tour kicks off, including a white guitar with her lucky number 13 written with silver embellishments.
In November, Swift announced that she would be going on her first solo tour since 2018. To celebrate the start of her Eras Tour, Swift released four previously unreleased songs at midnight on Friday. These songs include “Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version)”, “If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version)”, “All of the Girls You Loved Before” and “Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version)”.
In honor of Swift kicking off her Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, the mayor of the city, Jerry P. Weiers, even temporarily renamed Glendale to Swift City. He held a ceremonial press conference on Monday and announced “And now therefore, I, Jerry P. Weiers, mayor of the city of Glendale, on behalf of our city council, do hereby proclaim that on March 17 and 18, 2023, the city of Glendale will be renamed Swift City.”
WELL. Last night was a rush. Thank you to everyone in that glorious Glendale night 2 crowd for giving us all you had and more. Counting down the hours til we get to play again. See you in Vegas ????
